SeaDragons Code of Conduct

To have a successful program there must be understanding and cooperation among parents, swimmers, and coaches. The progress your child makes depends to a great deal on this triangular relationship. It is with this in mind that we ask you to consider this section as you join.

  1. Please make every effort to have your swimmer at practice on time. Swimmers should be on deck 10 minutes prior to practice. Realize that your child works hard and give all the support you can.
  2. Parents and swimmers are expected to obey Centenary Colleges' rules and regulations. No child is allowed outside of the pool area unless directly supervised by a parent or guardian.
  3. Parents and swimmers are encouraged to support their teammates at practice as well as at competition. No one is allowed on pool decks unless swimming or working. Working together is beneficial to all and is an important part of being a SeaDragon.
  4. No parental interaction with officials is allowed during meets.
  5. Swimmers are expected at all times to follow the verbal directions of the coaching staff. At no time will disrespectful attitudes be tolerated from any swimmer. The penalty for this is that you will be asked to leave workout, and the following workout.
  6. Inappropriate language, lying, stealing and/or vandalism are intolerable. These behaviors are detrimental enough to the group to warrant strict disciplinary action, up to termination and expulsion from the team.
  7. Any and all illegal substances that are consumed anywhere, at any time, and observed by an adult, school official, or and legal authority, will warrant strict disciplinary action, up to termination and expulsion from the team.
  8. Questions and concerns from parents should be communicated prior to or after practice. Practice time should be dedicated to the swimmers.

That you for your cooporation in making the SeaDragons a model team.
